Place ‚ Rice Creek Enabling Residence
Shoreview, MN
Friendship Place will provide housing in a “home-like”
atmosphere for adults with developmental disabilities
and their caretakers. Supported by Covenant Enabling Residence
of Minnesota, the new Friendship Place facility will provide
individual and community living spaces, commons areas,
a room for the full-time caretaker, and a guest room for
family visitors. The building is located in a wooded setting
adjacent to a church and bus line, and will have a residential
look with a siding exterior and gabled roof. Though the
project is on a tight budget, Frisbie Architects is working
to take the client’s dream design and modify it
to fit the budget without losing the character of the
building.
