Longtime River Falls High School athletic trainer and Wildcat supporter Kirby Symes, right, talks with a student who stopped to admire the newly-installed "Wall of
Honor" in the school's lower hallway by the gym last month. The Wall of Honor is the brainchild of Symes, who got the idea from similar installations at other schools
and universities. Working with Matt Frisbie of Frisbie Architects with pictures pulled form River Falls Journal archives and other contributors, the display features
pictures of every sport offered at RFHS along with inspirational words such as "Sportsmanship" and "Competitive Excellence" inscribed on it. Also planned is a
display honoring all former Wildcat state champions and a large trophy case displaying all the school's state championship trophies, but help is needed to raise
funds for both the Wall of Honor and these other projects. Contributions can be sent to: River Falls High School, Athletes Wall of Honor Fund, 818 Cemetery Road,
River Falls, Wl 54022.
