Ban Tara will get another building
Randy Hanson Hudson Star-Observer

Ban Tara LLC partners Brian Zeller and David Robson received approval from the Hudson City Council last week for another building in their commercial development on the east side of Carmichael Road south of I-94.
The 11,007-square-foot retail and restaurant facility will be located north of the existing building that houses Starbuck’s and Cold Stone Creamery.
Matt Frisbie of Frisbie Architects, River Falls, presented the plans for the building to the council at its March 19 meeting. The brick and stucco exterior of the building will be consistent in appearance with the existing buildings in the development, Frisbie said.
Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar has been identified as the future tenant of roughly half of the building (5,232 square feet). The national restaurant chain is planning to open a 196-seat establishment in the Ban Tara facility if it receives a liquor license.
Also at its March 19 meeting, the City Council revised the Municipal Code governing the issuance of Class B liquor licenses to make one available for every 650 city residents.
Under the new quota, there are two liquor licenses available. The city previously had been at its limit of 16 licenses. The new limit is 18 licenses.
Frisbie told the City Council that Zeller and Robson don’t yet have a tenant for the 5,775-square-foot retail space in the building. Construction is expected to begin soon.
