A Chipotle Mexican Grill and a full-service U.S. Bank branch are among the future tenants of the Ban Tara commercial development on Carmichael Road south of Stageline Road.
The Chipotle restaurant will be moving into 2,200 square feet of a 7,000-square-foot building immediately south of Starbucks that is currently under construction.
The U.S. Bank building at the southeast corner of Carmichael and Center Drive also is under construction.
Chipotle is a Colorado-based restaurant chain known for its large burritos that customers are able to choose the fillings for. The popular fast-casual restaurants also serve fajita burritos, burrito bols (no tortilla), tacos and salads.
McDonald’s Corp. owned a majority interest in Chipotle until last April, when McDonald’s divested its interest and Chipotle went public.
Brian Zeller, co-owner along with David Robson of Ban Tara LLC, said it is his understanding that Chipotle hopes to open its Hudson location in late October or early November. The restaurant will lease the space in the building from Zeller and Robson. The building is being constructed by Derrick Companies of New Richmond.
U.S. Bank is planning to open for business at its new location on Sept. 25, according Hudson branch manager Cosette Bublitz.
The bank has a small office in the Grandview Professional Building at 400 Second St. for the past five years.
U.S. Bancorp, the bank’s parent company, is headquartered in Minneapolis. U.S. Bank, Bancorp’s retail division, is the sixth-largest bank in the United States based on holdings, according to the Internet encyclopedia Wikipedia.
